Novelle Wine, c’est d’abord le style d’un vigneron créateur avec des vins construits sur l’élégance, la fraîcheur, la finesse et la complexité des arômes. A la tête d’un domaine viticole de 7 hectares comptant 17 cépages différents à Satigny dans le canton de Genève, Jean-Michel Novelle crée près de 40 vins différents. Passionné par la biodiversité, il a choisi, dès les années 80, d’enherber entièrement ses vignes et de supprimer désherbants, engrais et insecticides. Tout est fait main : la date des vendanges est fixée selon la pleine maturité des raisins, l’entier de la récolte est ramassée à la main et vinifiée au domaine.

Novelle-Wein steht in erster Linie für den Stil eines kreativen Winzers, dessen Weine auf Eleganz, Frische, Finesse und Komplexität der Aromen basieren. An der Spitze eines 7 Hektar großen Weinguts mit 17 verschiedenen Rebsorten in Satigny im Kanton Genf kreiert Jean-Michel Novelle fast 40 verschiedene Weine. Da ihm die Artenvielfalt sehr am Herzen liegt, beschloss er in den 1980er Jahren, seine Weinreben vollständig mit Gras zu bedecken und auf Unkrautvernichtungsmittel, Düngemittel und Insektizide zu verzichten. Alles geschieht in Handarbeit: Der Erntetermin richtet sich nach der Vollreife der Trauben, die gesamte Ernte wird von Hand gelesen und auf dem Gut vinifiziert.
